With
so much to do in Naples, you're going to need a mode of transportation
to get you around town. Getting to and from Naples via the
airports is easy. Car rental reservations may be arranged
at the airports and through your hotel concierge or front
office staff. Most major car rental agencies are also located
at the airports.
Taxi
fares to beach resorts are in the $20 range from Naples Municipal
Airport, in the $60 range from the Southwest Florida International
Airport in Fort Myers and approximately $150 from Miami International.
Additional 15% gratuity is customary.
Once
in Naples Florida, there are plenty of ways to get around
town. The Collier County Bus System (CAT) offers convenient
transportation for visitors and residents. All day Collier
Area Transit bus passes are $3. Reduced all day passes are
$1.5 for seniors, students and people with disabilities.
A
Trolley Tour is the best way to see all that Naples has to
offer. The narrated tour covers over 100 points of interest,
including a synopsis of Naples' rich history. You can board
on and off, as often as you like, and catch the next trolley
once you've finished eating, shopping or discovering all the
wonderful shops, galleries and restaurants Naples has to offer.
Daily fares are $18 for adults, $8 for children 4 to 12, free
for children under 4, with free reboarding. Schedules are
available in brochure racks in the lobbies of most hotels
and motels.
The
Bicycle Shop of Naples and the Naples Bike Shop both rent
coaster-brake beach cruisers and 10-speeds by the day, week
or month.
For
a romantic ride through Old Naples, go back in time with a
ride on a handsome cab. Naples Horse & Carriage Co. offers
horse-drawn carriage rides through the center of town. Experience
the ambience of Naples from a different vantage point. What
a wonderful way to end your evening!
